Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
All our students are required to complete an EPQ. This is to fulfil our commitment to the continued religious education of all our students, and it is taught by the Religious Studies department. The EPQ is designed "to develop learners’ critical, reflective, problem-solving and independent learning skills" (Edexcel) and therefore really helps them with the transition onto higher education.
Students are able to choose their own area of focus and can also choose between making an artefact, writing a dissertation or performing. We find that many universities lower their standard offer for students who have a good grade in their EPQ.
